Why learn Arabic at King’s Language Centre?

All Arabic courses at King’s are taught by fluent speakers with their own personal experience of the language, hailing from a range of countries in the Arab world. They have been trained to teach Modern Standard Arabic, which is used in books, newspapers, television and radio, and in conversations between educated Arabs from different countries.

You can begin learning Arabic by choosing whether to study a more traditional approach that incorporates reading and writing or focus on spoken Arabic. The spoken Arabic courses will help you to connect Modern Standard Arabic with dialects and develop your speaking skills for oral communication.

It’s possible to reach B1/B2 proficiency in Arabic with our Level 4 classes. At this stage, you’ll be able to understand authentic text passages, discuss a range of subjects with good pronunciation and intonation, and write more complex texts.

If you’ve learnt Arabic before, you can join the level that best matches your experience. Use the tabs below to choose between beginner and intermediate Arabic classes, or read our advice on what level you should study if you’re unsure.
